You might be surprised to find out where these 8 former Huddersfield Town players are now
Huddersfield Town is looking to ensure Championship security this season as soon as possible.
It has been a tough season for Carlos Corberan and the Terriers and they will just look to get through this campaign and then assess this summer.
Indeed, we might see a bit of a player-level reshuffle, but it remains to be seen who stays and who goes as well as what kind of budget Town faces.
While waiting to see how they fare, we take a look at eight former players who have come a long way since leaving the club.
Here are 8 players who have found themselves, in some cases, thousands of miles from West Yorkshire while others are just up the road …
Pilkington is currently in India.
The left-winger has played for Cardiff and Norwich as well as the Terriers during his career, but traded England for the warmer climates of Bengal with him playing for SC East Bengal.
Jacques Maghoma is also in the books of the club at the moment.
Sean Scannell first arrived at Crystal Palace and played for various sides of the English football pyramid.
After leaving Huddersfield he moved to Bradford City and then Blackpool, as he now finds himself in Grimsby Town to help the club stay in Ligue 2 this season.
Left winger Harry Bunn left the Burrows in 2017 and joined Bury.
Stays with Shakers, Southend United and Kilmarnock all followed before a no-team stint.
He’s back in Yorkshire now, however, with him on the books in York City having signed for them in the summer of 2020.
James Vaughan has had a long career since appearing at Everton in the Premier League and he has played for many clubs.
Among them, Huddersfield Town, with him who also played for many teams afterwards. The likes of Birmingham and Portsmouth have had him in their books, but he currently plays for the Tranmere Rovers looking to be promoted to League One this season.

He has since played for Grimsby Town and had a spell as a free agent before signing up with Falkirk in 2019 – where he remains to this day.
Joe Skarz left Huddersfield in 2010.
He signed for Bury and has played for Oxford United, Rotherham United and Halifax Town since.
He is now with Grantham Town after joining Kettering Town in 2020.
Graham Carey has had quite a career.
A loan to Huddersfield from Celtic did not result in a permanent move and he instead joined St Mirren.
He impressed at Plymouth in the EFL before going by surprise at CSKA Sofia in 2019.
Obviously, he is also enjoying his stay in Bulgaria, where he still stays there today.
Anthony Kay left Huddersfield Town in 2012.
The defender joined MK Dons and also played for Bury and Port Vale.
After a brief stint without a side, he is now in Bala Town at the age of 38.
