UN Secretary-General appoints new members to UN Global
New York, NY, June 02, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – UNITED NATIONS, New York, June 2, 2021 – United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed three new members to the United Nations Global Compact Council.
Stephen Cotton, General Secretary, International Federation of Transport Workers and Marco Lambertini, General Manager, WWF International have been appointed for a three-year term, with immediate effect. Guy Ryder, Director General of the International Labor Organization, has been appointed to a new two-year rotating position on the Board of Directors which will be shared between the four agencies that guard the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact (International Organization of the United Nations).
