Google Street View images show how a downtown street has changed in a decade

These images show how much a popular street in Liverpool has changed in a decade.
Standing as a Liverpool favorite, Berry Street remains a hub for shoppers, diners and clubbers to this day.
For years, Downtown Street has continued to attract locals and tourists with its diverse lineup of local businesses.

But these images, captured between 2008 and 2018, show how the street has changed over a 10-year period.

We used Google Street View to go back in time to show how much, or how much, Berry Street has changed from their first available screenshot – circa 2008 – to 2018.

These snapshots, taken directly and unedited from the maps, only capture streets on a specific day of the year, and from the angles of the images, do not show all businesses and buildings over the years.
But they do offer a glimpse of the companies that have called Berry Street “home” over the years.

The first images show posters of Capital of Culture in 2008, while others show lost business such as The Metropolitan, Tribeca and the Arch Restaurant.
You can also see the old 53 Degrees building and its past lives, before it was destroyed by fire in 2019.
