BSBI featured in a United Nations publication with the “Global Degree” project
BERLIN–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) is proud to announce that Professor Dr Kyriakos Kouveliotis, Rector and Academic Director of BSBI, was recently featured in the UN Chronicle, the United Nations publication.
The UN Chronicle, produced by the United Nations Department of Global Communications, has been the Organization’s flagship platform since 1946, providing authoritative information and debate on the activities of the United Nations system as a whole. .
Professor Kouveliotis contributed with an article describing the idea of the ‘Global Degree’, the proposal for a new institutional model for higher education. He said: “The Global Diploma was designed to fill a gap in international higher education, by developing a concise and innovative system blending conventional and distance learning without abolishing existing structures.
“This concept aims to recognize that learning has evolved along with technology and international mobility, while designing a new approach to deliver a truly global education experience reflecting the themes of accessibility and inclusion. ”
Engaged in this approach, BSBI recently announced new partnerships to provide students with a multi-city global education experience between Germany, France and Greece. From September 2021, students will have the opportunity to enroll in a selection of courses awarded by the academic partners of BSBI, the University of Creative Arts (UCA), the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO and Concordia University of Chicago (CUC), while studying in prestigious locations. in Europe.
In collaboration with PPA Business School in Paris and Independent Studies of Science & Technology College (IST) in Athens, BSBI will allow students to study in France or in the Greek capital and then complete their studies at BSBI in Berlin.
Professor Kouveliotis said: “We are excited about this new project, which takes study abroad to a new level. By working with our partners, we aim to expand the cultural and knowledge exchange of our students, while maintaining the excellent levels of education and student services that our partners strive to provide.
“Our institution has its roots in Germany, but we have always sought to provide a global learning experience, in line with the concept of the global degree. This is the brand of education in which BSBI believes and wishes to implement, ”added Professor Kouveliotis.
